This award signifies the organization's commitment to understanding the value of supporting family caregivers and have created something that not only helps a caregiver care for their loved ones but also improves his or her quality of life in the process.

The Apartment for Caregiver Education provides a unique opportunity to obtain hands-on experience caring for others in a furnished, home-like environment. Caregivers practice the skills they need to safely manage healthcare challenges presented by chronic medical conditions. Guided by licensed professionals, caregivers of alll ages are empowered to competently and confidently care for their loved ones.
Designed for the family caregiver, the Apartment for Caregiver Education is the first of its kind. Equipped with manikins and with the support of licensed professionals, family caregivers learn how to cope with their specific challenges without risk to their loved one. Caregivers also learn everyday tasks such as how to provide personal care safely and efficiently, avoid complications, and set up furniture in their home to make it more accessible for their loved one.
